You can choose to write a complaint letter based on one of the following scenarios or if you have personally encountered bad service, feel free to write a complaint letter to that business!

Scenario 1
Last weekend you went to American Eagle in Cornwall Centre to buy a pair of jeans and were given incredibly poor customer service. Details of your shopping experience:
  • The store associates were talking behind the counter and completely ignored you
  • You wandered around the store until an associate rudely asked “Can I help you?” to which you responded “Yes, I’m looking for a pair of jeans” and she said “We have jeans all over the store” and walked away.
  • After grabbing a few pairs of jeans yourself, you stood outside a changeroom for 10 minutes before someone let you in
  • No one came and asked how you were doing in the changeroom when you needed some different sizes.
  • You left the store without buying anything and want to write a letter to American Eagle to let them know about their poor customer service at the Cornwall Centre location.

Scenario 2
You finally saved up enough money to buy an XBOX 360 and a few games to go along with it.
  • You purchased it at Best Buy, and after only 2 months, it is not working right.
  • Every time you play a game for more than 10 minutes, it makes a really loud noise and sounds like it is going to blow up.
  • You called Best Buy and the person on the phone accused you of doing something to wreck it, and therefore there was nothing they could do.
  • You are currently stuck with an XBOX 360 that doesn’t work properly and you want to write a letter to Best Buy to complain about selling you a faulty XBOX and their refusal to do something about it.
